wagdaddy Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 so i found out the only automatic tranny that will fit my 95 legacy is a 95 or early 96 what i am wondering is if a new engine say 98 - 00 engine and tranny will mount up in the car ive found a few or if the mounting is different any help ? (99 for ej22s engines, 99 for the outback auto trans and probably 99 for the legacy auto trans but i'm not sure.) so if you limit your self to 95 - 98 you can use any auto trans with a matching 4.11 final drive ratio. this means you can use any auto trans 95 - 98 from a car with a 2.2L engine or a 1.8L engine.
