ihkskim
so my car was in the shop for a minor accident but i decided to replace my shitty D2 sti style spoiler (HORRIBLE fitment btw) so those who didnt even get it from that vendor (alex patriki), you're not missing much, other than $$.. i had to modify it so much to get it to barely fit. anyway.. i found this sti spoiler on ebay, and honestly i was kinda reluctant due to no reviews on this forum but i really was looking for a spoiler that had the clear 3rd brake not and not red like ravspecs so i decided to give it a try. surprisingly this spoiler fits 100% without any issues and i think its the newer legacy sti style spoiler because it looks like the one from HKC SPeed. this spoiler kinda goes on the corner not on top like ravspecs. here are the pics.. paid $120 shipped. so those who want a different option this is definitely one. Acutal jdm wing http://www.hkc-speed.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=180 Ebay wing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220692542720 i got mine in a week from china! dont mind the small gaps, there is residue from my previous wing under there. its pretty flush http://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/wing.jpg http://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/wing2.jpg http://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/wing3.jpg **** UPDATED ***** http://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/IMG_2270.jpghttp://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/IMG_2271.jpghttp://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/IMG_2272.jpghttp://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/IMG_2273.jpghttp://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/IMG_2274.jpghttp://www.xerovariance.com/ul_images/IMG_2275.jpg

Flat4
That looks good. Is it bolted on or tapped on?
ihkskim
it came with bolts but the spoiler has female screws so all i would have to do is overlay it 3m tape and it will be fine. should be an easy install.

RabidWombat
Can you tell if the hole pattern would match the holes for the factory spoiler? I suspect many members might be interested in replacement spoiler options.

fx4me
Can you tell if the hole pattern would match the holes for the factory spoiler? It doesn't. So I guess you'll have to drill at least one hole to run the brake light wire...?
ihkskim
It doesn't. So I guess you'll have to drill at least one hole to run the brake light wire...? yes one hole for the wire, the rest you can 3M. I doubt it will go in the existing holes anyway, the screws are more toward the center than the edges.

ihkskim
car will be done on monday so i'll post up pics next week. just a note though. the light didnt fit very flush w/ the wing due to excess fiber glass in the recessed areas so i dremmel out a little and now looks better

Drift Motion
where does the wiring go on the spoiler?
E-Tank
Wow, that seriously looks great and for an amazing price. I actually just swapped to a wingless trunk last week and ordered the RRev S type spoiler. It was a little more expensive and doesn't have a brake light although I've always been partial to it. It's at the body shop with my JDM splash guards getting painted as we speak ($125 for everything painted as a reference). If I would have seen this thread a week ago I may have gone with this option instead.
