TSiWRX
I wish my car was running! I did a snowball rally down in Akron a few years back with Club 330 and F4. Miss those days is Lersoc even around anymore? ^ I think that as with most Social Media these days, bro, it's moved-on to Facebook and the like. I think that a few years ago things started to go that way with both LERSOC and Forced4s' websites going down. LERSOC basically dissolved into a small group of former FI-Subaru owning gun-nuts that shot together and hung-out....and now drive sedate, family-oriented, non-FI Subarus. [Aside: It's possible that since there will not be a 7-seater Subaru in time for my Tribeca going off-lease this coming November, that I may end up in a new WRX for the next cuple of years.] <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
baconbits
The FA20 DIT is nice but having worked on the exhaust (Corsa over in Berea), it's very... meh. Torque is great, fuel economy is great... lack of Subaru rumble due to equal length manifold, not so great.

Got in a photo shoot just before I ended up with someone else. I also rode with someone on the nightball as my engine wasn't healthy enough to run it. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/th_IMG_1015.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/th_39103_10150266016960651_5824920_n_zpsiykamskl.jpg 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)

Ruuver
Welcome, if you find a shop let me know. I'm still needing some stuff done for my build whenever it picks back up again. 09 LGT from North Canton, also looking for a good local shop. baconbits
I've been asking around for good machine shops for block/head work if I go that route when my engine pops... might just do STI shortblock and drop in forged pistons. Dunno. Haven't heard of anything good for builds unless you're looking to drive 3-4 hours to someone like TPG in Blairsville, PA or TurnInConcepts in Cincinnati. I would highly recommend Moore Performance in the Pittsburgh area (http://mooreperformanceparts.com/)--it's only about 90 min. east on the turnpike (from the eastside). I've had them work on my 05 OBXT--Very cool guys and they do awesome work. They seem to be doing engine builds on the regular now. They are quickly building a great reputation and loyal following--I recently moved to Chicago and a kid with a bugeye WRX recognized my Moore Performance sticker. baconbits
Moore was the other one... I knew I was forgetting one. When my engine goes, they might get the business so they can toss some blast plates on my 5 speed.
Merc6
Keenster spoke about a shop in Copely called Greg's Machine shop. VF46 is getting sent off to JmP but I like to keep the heads local. baconbits what's your issues to want a new block besides miles and butt pucker factor of all us dead LGT's sitting up like Driveway Gnomes? 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
Merc6
I scored a STi SB from Ganley Subaru In Wickiffe. Apparently they hold on to blocks cause people trade in damn near dead cars to them all the time. Wish I was still had F4's to help eat some of that cost from Ganley Subaru of Bedford. 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
baconbits
baconbits what's your issues to want a new block besides miles and butt pucker factor of all us dead LGT's sitting up like Driveway Gnomes? If it happens to everyone else, it'll eventually happen to me. I bought the car with 77k on it and it's been at stage 2 for almost the entire time I've owned it... now at 111k. It appears to be a "five owner" car including myself, but two of the owners were dealers... first one had it for 60k, other one had it for the rest... I think that last one had it at stage 2 or something because half of the heat shields around the downpipe were gone and the popits for the snorkel were broken. Anyway, 111k, borrowed time coming up. Most turbos need replaced around 120k, according to MrTris, shortblocks every 30k
Merc6
Turbo knowing how I lost mine at 60K would be the 1st item on the chopping board way before the OCV's. I take it you already remedied the Banjo Filter situation. 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)

I had a head for my Integra machined at Greg's. Three-angle valve job, etc. They did good work, but that was 5 years ago, never know what changes. Still though, I'd recommend them. baconbits
I saw two 4th gens recently... 08/09 SpecB on 237 by the IX center driven by a female about two weeks ago... 'course I did a ricer fly by in order to catch up and see who was driving. She looked disgusted. I think she got off at the Snow Road exit. Also saw an ABP 4th gen sedan with black wheels southbound on W210/Wagar... waved but got nothing. There's also an 08/09 GT sedan at the same apartment complex my dad lives in. Merc6
There is a Spec B off brook park in a plaza across from the Mazda and Walmart. F4 carded it like 2 times way back when and never got a reply back. I found a stack of those cards the other day. Still haven't took the decals off, figure why not at this point. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/DCF67F05-ECA2-4B17-B9A4-DDACC393EC94_zps4eoimcrv.jpg~original http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/CC5BC648-C950-4311-AACD-2C62DFB5CF9C_zpsyuqplfnq.jpg~original 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
