schlanseay Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Hi all, I test drove an 08 LGT Lim. today and love the feel of the car. I have never driven a car with a turbo before as I came from a VW vr6. I was suprised to hear how loud the turbo was inside the cabin. Does anyone have a sound clip of this inside the cabin? It has 38k miles on it, is it rare for a turbo to already be going out? It whined pretty good around 3k+ rpm but once we settled on a speed, the whining went away like one would expect from a turbo. jleighton88 Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Having an aftermarket intake will make the turbo noise much more noticeable. Dont worry that is normall. you will even hear the factory bov when you lift under boost. I doubt there is anything wrong with the turbo. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
