I Donated thefultonhow Posted March 12, 2011 I Donated Share Posted March 12, 2011 Ever since my engine swap (which included a new clutch), the car has occasionally clunked/creaked faintly when starting up from a stop or shifting. It used to happen only once per occurrence, but today, I noticed multiple clunks/creaks every time I started up. I noticed I would also get one or two with dramatic throttle movements (on the gas to off the gas, or off the gas to half throttle). Here is my list of things it might be: 1. Clutch (TOB?) 2. Pitch stop 3. Engine or trans mounts Anything else? Anyone seen this before?

I Donated thefultonhow Posted March 13, 2011 Author I Donated Share Posted March 13, 2011 Fixed it, I think. I hadn't properly torqued down the bolt holding the pitch stop to the bracket on the transmission. Since I tightened it, I haven't yet heard the clunking again.
