The Grouch
Hi all. Was thinking of some 17 x 7.5's, et +48, with tires 225/45/17 on a 1995 Legacy lsi wagon. Car is already sittin on some BC coilovers. Fender rolling, will I need it? And from your experience, with that rim and tire size combo how close to fender will the new wheels sit? Thanks. Drift Motion
why not just roll it?
WESTcoast
just roll it! cant hurt at all, I have 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 with a camber set up of -1.2 and I rub the inner fender wall at full lock, my fronts are rolled my rears are rolled and have acamber set up of -0.6and i hit the hardest bumps and dont hear anything from the rear. I have a half a finger gap in the front 1 finger gap in the rear. Try adjusting your camber, you will gain a bit more better steering reaction with the right setup and help avoid rubbing. The Grouch
Well I didn't just roll it mainly because of $$. But with 17 x 7.5 et 48, tire size 225/45/17 I shouldn't need to roll it, from what I can gather. So that's why I was asking around to see what other people running the same rim/tire size combo did, and whether they had to roll it or not.
