Thatguy
Im betting this has been asked before but Ive tried to search and found no direct answer. I ordered some H7 bulbs online but it turned out they were 100watt vs 55watt. Is it okay to use them or is it going to burn something up/melt the housing? Thanks. stanjk3
You'll melt something, not sure what will go first. Get these instead: http://store.candlepower.com/osraulhiouh7.html Got them for christmas, they're a nice upgrade over stock. If you want to upgrade your high beams, get 9011 (HIR1). http://store.candlepower.com/9011.html Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer. Thatguy
Thanks I ordered some other 55watts. I heard the 65watts can also get pretty hot. Figured better safe side it.
stanjk3
Haven't heard of anyone melting anything with 65W bulbs. Otherwise I would have got something else. Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer.
Windy Road
I've been running 65w bulbs in my low beams for about 2 years now. Not one issue, even with doing long cruises for 3+ hours with the Osram Rallye bulbs and the H1R1 high beams on too. 276hp/347tq On a DynoJet Dyno Video - Had a big lean spot as you can tell in the second pull
Thatguy
Hmm okay might need to consider them for upgrade then.
stanjk3
The Narva Rangepower +50 bulbs are also good, put them in my mom's 2002 Outback (her car uses H1 for low beams). But they are more expensive for less light and shorter lifespan. You could also try Philips Extreme Power. http://store.candlepower.com/h7bulbs.html Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer.
