Brembo Brake guys out there! I have a question

You would be able to SEE that it was helicoiled.

looks like the passenger side uses both of the longer STI bolts that say "9" on it. Only the driver's side lower caliper bolt says "10". I'll try cleaning out the threads to see if that helps.

That is pretty suspect. All the bolts should be the same. Also you rather have grade 10 rather than grade 9 bolts holding your calipers onto your car.

Did you try chasing the threads on the bolt to make sure it ran free? Are you sure it's the correct bolt?

 

I used the STI bolts and had no trouble. Well, I did put an extra washer in between the caliper and knuckle like an idiot, but I fixed that. LINK

 

So there should be washers on the calipers at then knuckle? Going to be doing this soon, and I don't think the brembos I have came with any washers. I've got the sti specific bolts

My stock brakes sucked so bad it was dangerous. I now have Carbotech AX-6 and they're great, aside from the squealing. Unbearable in the summer, and I'm a patient guy about that.

 

I'm gonna go with something different the next time out.
