lee07
So I just put in new rotor and pads on the back. I drove it for a week not knowing the new outside pads had 2 little nipples on them causing the caliper to not close/sit properly thus biting only the bottom portion of the rotor. This was why the new rotors had deep pad bite marks on the bottom 1/4 of the rotor. I had the nipples removed and now there's rust marks on where the deep pad bites were! Now will the rust eventually go away if I keep driving it? I don't have pics but the bottom portion of the rotor is shows rust. I can remove a little by hand but would the pads clear the rust away. It's been a couple day's and the rust is still there even will some hard braking! One other question. Does it matter which side the outer brake pad goes on? el5y
I'm pretty sure it will be fine. Because of the deep bite marks the rust is probably just in there deep. When you get down to that level it will eventually rub away.
lee07
Yeah, I think you're right. It is starting to clear up a little bit here and there!
