quicgrocerygettr Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 Ive got an 05 gt wagon. i have taken the resonator out and had an exhaust shop rebuild from the y back with 2.5" pipe to magnaflow mufflers. I was happy for a while but want a little more sound. what do you all think, do i need to just scrap this set up and buy a new one or will making the mid pipe 3" help make it a little louder? or any other suggestions? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
joeleodee Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 From my experiences, the stock mufflers are really what keeps this exhaust quiet. I run a full turboback, but for the winter I swap my stock cans back on and it sounds almost completely stock. Since you already eliminated that, you may look into a full exhaust setup that's a bit louder than your magnaflow mufflers will allow. or you can punch holes in your pipes with a screwdriver.
