mikeklacy
I did some logs tonight to assess my engines health before I start tuning. Based on engine speed i want to say they were both 2nd gear. . . but i did over 20 logs tonight so not sure. I have a 2005 5eat with an STI up-pipe, an AVO panel filter and the air box silencer 'jug' removed. Everything else is stock, the temp tonight was low 50's. I found that i have a knock 'event' around 3200-3800 rpm and another when i go full throttle, off throttle and then back on full throttle. log 183543: Also it seems that at 4000+ when i should have the most acceleration you can see the engine rpms are relatively static, even dropping at one point (3000ms). Is this the transmission or some other mysterious problem? The other log doesn't really show that. The learning view is attached as well; last night before i reset the ECU i had a -2.4 retard in 2 load areas in the 4k+ cells, I don't remember where exactly they were, after driving tonight they did not come back. Any and all help is highly appreciated. *after doing some graphing of the logs I added 182758, it has 2 pulls, MAF over RPM looks smooth, just like HP dyno curvesromraiderlog_20110127_183543.csvromraiderlog_20110127_183451.csvromraiderlog_20110127_182758.csv

SonicSpecB
Log 183543 does looks static around 4000rpm probably because your throttle opening is all over the place (keep it at 100%) and you good to go like the other logs)
