iv_05gt
A suggestion.. I'm a VW tech, i'd stay away from cheaper 1.8T AWM motors. 1.8's had a serious sludge issue (esp when you dont change your oil at specific intervals) You dont want to end up getting a junk 1.8T. And you especially dont want to have to do the swap twice!!! If your doing it yourself and you run into any questions pm me. i'll get you any info you need. I'd also suggest looking into breather system parts.
MDKSDMF
^^ its all good but thank you for the offer. my girlfriends father is a mechanic and owns a little dealership. we find a motor and they will install. we need something for the a4 so she can get to work and around town. no racing or anything. breather system..ill look into that. she launched a rod because of the oil system when the motor went in august...... iv_05gt
Yea the 1.8t motor in general is annoyingly finicky about its oil change intervals. They sludge up and then its over lol. Good luck w/ the work.

BigBlack-V
Zakk Wylde wouldnt need a new motor he would just pour some beer and whiskey on the old motor and it would start right up. Fire it up !!!! I was 0. And I'm still a zero.
