Magic Marker
whoa....just looked up those flaps online.. $130 for 4 sheets of rubber? wtf? The Rally Armour flaps @ $130 aren't rubber, they are polyurethane (or something else scientific . I had them on my 08 OBS and they looked and performed great. Never curled, always stayed flat & flexible in the cold temps and kept the crap off the car really well. I didn't regret buying them at all. IMO they were worth it. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll177/jmark42/DSC00030.jpg 2011 Volvo S60T6 & 2013 Volvo XC60T6 Polestar
judgenot
haha i love my mudflaps no regret at all and if you look up a good picture straight from the rear of the car it gives it a great rally look and in my opinion it makes the car look a lot lower without even touching the springs and everything.. not a waste of money at all.. (to rogue) what do you suggest i do with my headlights? and as for the exhaust i feel very very very lucky to have run across this video.. take a look.. ( [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEaiL4XR61o]SUBARU LEGACY B4 GANADOR RacingTITAN ï¾ï¾Œï¾—ーサウï¾ï¾„゙ - YouTube[/ame] ) they run for about 2050 straight from japan i guess.. judgenot
btw i am not sure what it takes to install these because when i looked them up it looks like they do not come with an adaption piece that would give you a dual exhaust
Rogue77
(to rogue) what do you suggest i do with my headlights? . http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/idrvslo-headlight-modification-and-clearing-service-160048.html I had my headlights done by IDRVSLO (Scott), you can see them here (page 6 specifically): http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/new-rogue-mods-begin-154098.html I'm just here for the mods. judgenot
thank you for showing me this.. i would definitely like to look into custom headlights as well.. (aside from the tinting which is what i am assuming you were suggesting i do?) and did you look at the exhaust video? Edited October 27, 2011 by judgenot
Rogue77
I was suggesting you get blacked out headlights since you painted your grill. The headlights are big and have a lot of chrome (unneeded) so I got mine blacked out. I got tint on my windows too, which is nice. Just 35% though, classy not to dark. Yes, saw the exhaust vid, was a good note. I'm just here for the mods.
judgenot
yeah blacked out i would also be interested in the angel eyes if i can though.. get red ones to match my hellas and the pinstripe etc.. so when you go to this guy you can order all new headlights for him to work on and still have your old ones so that it would be plug and use once they arrived? am i correct? and also just an fyi i am planning on tinting my windows once summer arrives but yeah i love the sound of the exhaust any idea that you could possibly explain what i would have to do to add on the dual (second one)? 5thgen2.5i
scott usually has you send your lights to him to work on then mails them back. unless you can get cores.
CL21376
I thought he had couple sets of 5th gen cores and there was something like a $500 refundable core deposit? I'm hoping to do a core exchange over the winter.
judgenot
i apologize for my knowledge of vocabulary and such.. but when i was reading his page it sounded like he was talking about being able to buy a second set of brand new headlights directly from him for him to customize and send to you? am i correct? or is that what you are refering to as a "core"? can someone with more familiarity to his work explain how it works? because i do not want to touch my stock headlights until it would be time to switch them out that way like he mentioned in his information.. the customer would also have their stock lights if they ever wanted to change back? so how does this work? CL21376
He had at least 1 set of cores. So he mods the new lights he bought to you specs. You send him your old lights. If they are damaged or need refinished, you don't get the full core deposit back. Next guy comes along and the process repeats....your old lights get done to the new customers specs and the new customer sends in their lights. Rinse and repeat. I had him buy all new cores and do the work and send them to me. This is the most expensive route but that allowed me to keep my stock headlights. This is my daily driver (DD) so I can't be without my lights for any significant amount of time. I have my stock lights in a box in the crawlspace to return my car to stock in the event that I sell it, I can then sell the painted lights for some return on the investment. I'm just here for the mods.
judgenot
So when you say "cores" you are referring to the entire light piece that gets installed to your car? I believe you have given me the answer i needed.. may be more expensive but in my opinion it will be worth it and also a safe way to go so that you can ensure you have a promised working set at all times without messing around to the working stock if that makes sense? Thank you for the clarification!!!
Rogue77
Yes, cores are the entire light assembly. I'm just here for the mods.
judgenot
THANK YOU!!! that was what i needed to know haha well thats the route i am planning to take as far as custom headlights buy them brand new from him so that i still have my stocks safe and sound in perfect working condition untouched now for the wait.. and btw.. i have not quite been able to figure it out.. but how by chance.. do you edit signatures so i could put my own?
