GotTurboWut
Anyone know of places to do 1/4 mile drag? I checked out Summit Speedway in West Virginia but looks more like auto x than like a strip, e.g. airport sponsored.

scoobydoobie
Would be down for a meet at the Richmond dragway sometime if people are interested. Wouldn't mind seeing what the ol' 5EAT can run in the 1/4 mi. either...
SubieChik
VMP is better than Richmond Dragway IMO. Not saying I wouldn't still go there....just sayin'. The only bad thing about VMP is the wait. You won't get as many runs in as compared to Richmond.
IAG Performance
http://www.75-80dragway.com/Â http://www.masondixondragway.com/Â These are probably the closest to you. Mason Dixon is normally prepped well and faster than 75/80. Â Let us know if you do a meet and we'll try to bring out our 415whp (93oct) Spec B. SubieChik
Nice, never realized VMP is in Richmond as well It's no where near Richmond It's just the two local strips to us here in Hampton Roads, so I was just comparing them. In fact VMP would be wayyy completely out of the way for ya'll up there so just forget I mentioned it
scoobydoobie
hmmm when I googled it, the first site that popped up says This IHRA sanctioned, 1/4 mile, dragstip is located in Richmond. Includes schedule, track information, hotel referrals, point standings and race results. And waht do you mean up there? I'm in CVille. Much rather go to a meet in Richmond than NOVA. SubieChik
oh...I'm not paying attention....I was replying to two threads......the other one the OP is from NOVA  Man I am full of fail I swear.....I was thinking of VIR.....thats on the NC border. And VIR isn't a strip....it's a road course so I have no idea how I was confusing the two  Either way......Richmond Dragway is really lenient on some things....I mean shoot, I ran with a crack going down the center of the windshield

But it's a great time.
LegacyGTBiggie
I have a GM product now though... I should be ok at 75-80. Last time i went there is was late 90s with all my import friends. We had guns pulled on us when my friends Supra raped their .... I forget what he ran. But it was scary/funny. I am well past the idea of putting money on runs. IAG Performance
LOL. Track prep is still just OK...but it is still good wholesome backwoods racing fun.
LegacyGTBiggie
my prefered for years is/was MIR. Short the location for me, good facilities with good track prep(right lane is normally sticker) and decent pricing.
DelawareBlueHen724
Cecil is nice, go there all the time. Its 15 bucks to run your car and 10 to watch, on friday nights.
steveb68
Yup, Crapitol IS ghetto (and poorly managed), and 75-80 IS redneck, and M-D runs downhill, or so the old rumor goes. Cecil is excellent, but too far for the OP.
