I saw this at WBM last year. Must of been your car, either that or someone did the same exact layout. I am thinking of two ten's; one on each side.

hey guys, check this out... i made a fiberglass box in my trunk to run my JL sub, i didnt want to kill trunk space so i put it in the little nook in the driver side. there still is 100% access to my spare tire, and the best part is it sounds great!!! i didnt think it would come out this well... lets see the other sound/ subwoofer modifications in the new leggys... they dont have anything as for sub boxes for them yet., so lets see what u guys have come up with!

Fuji, I have a quick question, I heard from someone on another thread that you have the stock head unit. If you do, where did you connect the turn on lead for the amplifier? My 05 Legacy got totaled by a rear end collision at about 40mph by a girl that was distracted and I just reserved a 10 2.5i Prem and want to move over my amp and sub but I wanna keep the factory head unit in the '10.

I recently was going to replace the OE under-seat sub with a pair of powered 8" subs but there wasn't enough room under them with the power seats. So, I mounted them on the back of my rear seats (2005's only had a pass-through in the middle, no folding rear seats). The rear strut bar (hidden under the rubber trunk liner) holds them in place pretty well on its own but with some Velcro strips on the back of each unit they're not going anywhere.

I don't know if later models have this but but my '05 has an 8" diameter opening in the rear shelf on the driver's side that had a metal plate screwed over it. I removed the plate, cut an opening in the rear shelf and put a grill over the opening. This allows the bass to not only be felt but also to be heard (at least those frequencies that are audible).
