rs6er
Not sure this is the right forum but... Returning empty microbrewery bottle to the supermarket, som very hoppy beer spilled on the inserts of my Spec B seats. Is this material actual leather or not. What's the best way to clean it? I'm not talking about the leather on the bolsters- only the blue part.
GTTuner
I would check the owners manual. Depending if its leather I would not apply any chemicals. Did it dry as a stain?
rtbrjason
It's not real leather. It's a synthetic suede. http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/styling-wheels-interior/247817-alcantara-cleaning-instructions.html
m sprank
Excuses, excuses. Rather than focus on the spill. Lets focus on the story leading up to the spill. I call BS. Did no one ever tell you not to drink and drive? You might (you apparently did) spill your drink.
rs6er
It was the right side of the back seat. It didn't stain. I wiped it with a damp rag, but it still smells. Maybe I should move this to the beer snob thread.
rtbrjason
I'm not sure it's really the approved method, but last time something spilled on mine, I used a bit of simple green (sprayed onto a microfiber cloth) and cleaned the area. The car smelled like simple green for several days though.
rs6er
^ Think I prefer the smell of Hopback
KCwagon
Try a small amount of Lemon juice in some water. That is the preferred method for getting stains, smells out of Alcantara. Hope this helps.
rs6er
Thanks. Smell is pretty mush gone now. Must have frozen to death.
