blongo804 Posted December 15, 2010 Share Posted December 15, 2010 So now that it's been getting cold here in PA, i've been noticing some weird grinding sound when accelerating between 3-4k (when it gets into boost basically). It seems to happen more between 1st-2nd gear then 2nd-3rd. Maybe it happens 3rd-4th too but I never usually get there in city driving. It's a pretty nasty grind. Two different people in my car said it sounds like the car just bottoms out and grinds in the pavement, so i'd definitely classify it as a grinding sound just not sure what exactly it could be. If anyone has experienced this and has any insight, i'd appreciate it. I'm just hoping it's not anything with my tranny. I have a 5EAT with an intake/no tune. Thanks in advance!
