LJ08GT
Whats the best way to get this done? I think i would like the rear of my car a whole lot better if they were blacked out since my car is OBP.
rtbrjason
I've seen some inserts that get rid of the reflector and have a sort of vented look. Other than that you can paint the reflectors with a black or several coats of VHT nightshade.
Squiden
I bought some 50% tint film and just tinted them - seemed to do the trick without making it permanent. And, they still reflect at night, if that is still a concern.
protoballer823
Tint Spray did the trick. Black during the day and they still reflect through at nighttime with light on them. i would love to find those reflector inserts but can't seem to
Drift Motion
3M Di-Noc should work
Code
R rev sports sells cf inserts. I have them and love them "Striving to better, oft we mar what's well." - Bill Shakespeare - car modder
LJ08GT
might be a stupid question but how do the reflectors come out? Thinking the 3M Di-noc would look hot or i'm gonna search for the mentioned CF inserts
rtbrjason
Here is an old thread about the inserts. It has part numbers and it seems they can be had fairly cheaply from Australia or Japan. Shipping might be cost prohibitive for how cheap this part is. Maybe we can get msprank to get a bunch for us. I'd like a set of these too. R rev does have an insert, but it appears to just be a carbon fiber wrapped reflector. The inserts from the link mentioned above are vented/finned inserts. LJ08GT
yeah i checked out R rev and it looks like an "overlay" that goes on with double sided tape. Thats not a bad option and i think it would look good. Still might look at the inserts you mention but i know what u mean about the shipping prices
300zx2g35
The "vented" inserts don't fit the USDM bumper.
LegacyMUN2k6
I covered mine using a free sample of 3m cf simulated vinyl I got off some website a while back.
Code
The R-rev piece is an overlay. They fit great and are REAL CF. Stickers and vinyl are for honda and scion kids. joedirtae09
I got the R-Rev CF overlays also... it was pretty cheap considering its real CF. Some people dont like them but I like how the CF blends in with my car color....

W1CKED
a) The JDM "vents" don't even fit after hacking the sh*t out of them. Unless you have a JDM rear bumper. I bought the "vents" from japanparts.com, and DESTROYED them, trying to get them to fit. b) I popped my reflectors out and rattle canned them flat black.
