I did one for lordchilly. Cut it with a hack saw, used some 8 grit sand paper around where the coupler goes. We used the hump coupler I believe. No need to get the flanges beaded unless your running 30psi. Tighten the clamps German style, "goudentite".

^x2 don't worry about beading. Thats an extra bonus and like GTT said, if you are not running way over 20psi it should not be an issue. Many others have been cut and run hard and not mentioned issues.

 

Would it be nice to have beading there? Sure. FWIW, personally I'd take it out of the car to cut it. You are going to have to quite a bit of loosening and wiggling to get the new coupler in anyway. Its a good time to inspect the FMIC behind the bumper for any signs of early wear and deal with them.
