Mtarcher1 Posted May 7, 2005 Share Posted May 7, 2005 I've got a 1995 that is OBD II compliant (according to the hood sticker) with the CEL on but the Actron reader at the local AutoZone can't read pick up the code....it gives an error message. Does anyone know why this might be? Is it the Actron code reader or my car that is the problem? Any insight is appreciated. Montana Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
eamiller Posted May 7, 2005 Share Posted May 7, 2005 Could be the reader.. Could also be a bad ECU. Try pulling the negative cable on the battery for a couple of minutes to reset the ECU and see if the CEL comes back. You could also try a different auto parts store..
