Legacy05
I have been wrestling with what I thought was noise coming from the lowering springs on the drivers side. The best way to describe the noise, is that it is random, but I can hear a clunk or succession of clunks. I can feel these through the floor board. (I can feel it through the gas pedal). While we had the wheels off today, the drivers side axle has some play. You can move it back and forth and it makes a "clunk" type of noise and it sounds similar while I am sitting in the car. Now we put the tire back on and jacked up the passenger side and it doesn't have as much play and it doesn't make a noise. So have you guys ever heard of this? Could this be due to the changing of the springs, where the hub wasn't held up while we were changing the springs? Also, is Subaru going to void my warranty on the car due to the lowering springs??? Thanks!
melayout
Installing an aftermarket not-officially-supported-by-SoA spring and then having a suspension problem will surely void your warranty unless they are mod-friendly. Mojo I keed I keeed

Legacy05
Yeah, I already posted there ... it turns out its not my axle, have to try a few things to determine the exact cause of the noise.
