sumfoo1
I doubt it is out yet since the cable is just beginning to be used for data acquisition, but I was wondering if any program is thinking about using this tool to upload and download maps to the ecu. I was also wondering if there was a quick way to change maps from open source tunes like you can with an access port. Thanks, Bill
spec.B Dream
The Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable flashes in less than 30 seconds. That is fast enough for me. The Kiwi concept seems cool, but I don't really know anything about it. With OP 2.0, you can log directly to a micro SD card; no laptop necessary. m sprank
For now, I recommend flashing via a cable connection. Dont want a bricked ECU from a lost connection. Once the newer wireless connectors have been tested more maybe my opinion will change. Better safe than stranded.
sumfoo1
Good point. 30sec for a retune? That's not bad. I'm in an area where e85 is available but not even close to common. I think there is one gas station in the area. So I want an e85 tune but I also want to be able to change it quickly and even have a valet mode map cause we trade cars with my future sisterinlaw and she drives like an idiot but sometimes we need her big ass truck. I don't want her lead foot and lack of respect to ruin a turbo.
m sprank
About 30 sec is all it takes me to switch maps. I run e85 daily.
