Wheels what to use?

Recommended Posts

I put a sealant on mine and it definitely helped. It lasted about 6 weeks and I think I need to do it again. The brake dust isn't washing right off like it was doing a week or two ago. There are products designed specifically for this. Wheel Wax is one and Poorboy's Wheel Sealant is another. I'm sure any paint sealant would do the trick, but its nice to know there are products that have considered the environmental differences for what happens to our wheels versus our paint.

Using a sealant on the wheels doesn't mean you can go longer without cleaning, it just means that the cleaning is easier. If you don't have to bust out a wheel brush to do your wheels then why do it? :) And I totally agree with you. Baked on brake dust is definitely the worst.
