Fish
Hi guys, Any advice would be much appreciated. My front left axle appears to be slowly leaking grease and there's a slight humming that just started in the area. What is the easiest way to fix this? Will replacing the axle solve the problem? http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r243/kf6pzl/IMGP0434.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r243/kf6pzl/IMGP0442.jpg Thanks again! rshaw123
I have two new axles (10000 miles approximately) from my car for sale if you need new ones.
Chuckadian
Mine leak from there too, it's pretty common for those seals to go out. But that said, I leak transmission fluid, I'm not sure why you would lose so much grease from that spot...
subikid90
I wouldnt be worried about grease right there. Check to make sure your boots are not torn, if they arent then you should be fine. If you have a bad clunking noise while turning slow then replace them. Otherwise don't waste money lol Not trying to kill your sale rshaw123 lol -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
