SXCMNX Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Car was running fine, went around a corner, big back fire then lost power. will turn over but wont fire, have checkd fuel lines, plenty of pressure. brittcrowell Posted October 9, 2010 Share Posted October 9, 2010 Compression is always checked at the spark plugs. My guess is its possible that you broke a timing belt. If the valves aren't moving, you wont have any real compression because either an exhaust or intake valve is open in some partial position since the are not moving.
