jdkobe
All - I have enjoyed lurking for some time now - all your experience and enthusiasm is very appreciated. When I buy my new 05 Outback XT it will be my 3rd car I have ever owned, other two being 83 GL Wagon and a 98 Outback. Question: In the states, the headlights are projector halogen bean, with HI/LO and daytime running lights - but I'm wanting to retrofit a HID setup in there. Why, becuase I just like em :? In the in JDM for instance, do the HID provide both HI/LO & daytime running light fuctions, with daytime running lights going off with pull of emergency break? Thanks again
apexjapan2
JDM = no DRLs, HID low, halogen hi-beam.
agctr
yes that is correct, no hi-beam option available for HID and to be honest, why would u really want them. The aftermarket HID is a lot brighter than the stock item put in by BMW and Merc.
