Jeffzguy
That helps some, but really? Offset 42-55? Whats that supposed to mean? However well they made the wheel? Haha, I guess I will just guess...
sqc151
for u it means nothing. any subaru 5x100 wheel will fit. u have stock brakes so u dont have to worry about rubbing the caliper. if ur question is regarding what offset means?google "wheel offset"http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
Jeffzguy
I know what offset is. I am trying to find aftermarket wheels and am not sure about what offset to order... This doesn't mean fir sure I am going to get new wheels...
sqc151
oh, u mentioned stock steelies, so i assumed u were getting winter wheels or something along those lines. when it comes to subarus. especially 5x100. make sure the offset isnt to aggressive. (ex. 17x9 35 offset) thats alot of wear and tear on the hubs. any stock subaru 16", 17", 18" will fit ur car. 17", 18" u may need to do some fender rolling. as for aftermarket, make sure if u get a set of 16" or 17" the offset isnt more aggressive than 40ish mm. once u get into the 30s. ur hubs will cry. Jeffzguy
Like if I were to say get a set of 17x7's with +45 offset, that would work good?

silver03
We run 17 x7's with a 38 offset on our 93L-serious fender rolling was involved but turned out great with no rubbing. I wish we had higher offset, but our borbet wheels came off an Audi TT, which we got a screamin deal on at the time.
