Quick Cobb intake question

Recommended Posts

Just fitted my cobb sf intake with mode racing airbox. Just driving home from work. Notices a small bit of stuttering under acceleration and seems to be down on power overall. I reset the ecutek before I left work. Does it take a while for the ecutek to adjust to new intake original should just leave it off untilled a can get it tuned for?

Intake without a tune don't work too well on Subarus, best to leave it off until you can get a tune for it.

Better still put the stock airbox back on and sell the Cobb intake, they don't do anything anyway.

hmm i thought once i get my map adjusted to suit for new intake it would be fine. My friend with Legacy recently got his mapped, his has powertec intake and 2nd downpipe cat removed and mapper said he was making just over 300hp@fly. Last time i got mine dynoed it was down about 30hp compared to that!

i didnt think it would run too well without being re-tuned for but should safely up the power a bit after tune?
