help stock suspension

Hey guys and Gals i have on Race comp suspension that i installed a few years back and i want to go back to the factory set up, i am having trouble putting it back on. Seems like the stock strut is longer and i cant get it over the cv boot. I dont want to tear anything or do damage any ideas to get it back in easier?

 

I was thinking of renting cheap spring compressors from like autozone to compress the stock springs to shorten the height to slide it in.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you have both sides of the car up? If 1 side is on the ground still the sway bar is trying to pull up on the side you're working on. Even more so with thicker bars.

 

You could try the compressor way but depends on the style you may not be able to get them out once the struts are back in.

 

Or just get a long pry bar and force the control arm down a bit more.
