I was wondering if anyone sold aftermarket headlight assemblies for the 2nd gen? Im looking for a set with crystal clear lenses like all the newer cars come with.

I assume you have a 96 or 97 gen where the headlight lens has all the angles and stuff to direct the light?

 

Starting with the 98 model year, Subaru transitioned to multi-reflector headlights, meaning the lens is just clear plastic and it's the reflector that has all the angles. Is this what you are referring to? If so, just find a set off an old 98 or 99 and be done with it!

The other difference, though, as you can tell, is that the 98s and 99s assemblies were split. They still mount the same way, just that rather than one piece for the headlight and turn signal, they are separate.

Ah sweet deal, thanks for the info. Do the 98 -99 models take the same H4 bulbs?

nope 9007. I put a set of depos on my white car and they are awesome. The place i bought them from went out of business but you can still find them.They are cheap too.

id love jdm projectors, but they are 200$ here, and i havent got that kinda money for this atm...

Yes they are called depo. They are replacement lights. There is a thread in the for sale section from djortiz willing to go pull p4ojectors for dirt cheap.
