shaunmac9128
I know the rotella T6 oil is popular with the wrx guys because it is good in high stress turbo engines and I was wondering if the 5w-40 was popular for the lgt as well because they are almost the same engine right? Do the lgt's also get a nice bump in hp from a downpipe and tune? Those would probably be my only mods just for a little more pep for my dd. Also do they have a common uppipe cat problem like the 2.0 wrx's did? If so I'd look into a cat-less upipe. Thanks guys. If this is the wrong area feel free to move I just wanted to mainly ask the oil question. Thanks guys!
RabidWombat
For tuning see the definition of different Stages, Stage I, Stage II, etc to get you started. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/unofficial-legacy-gt-stage-upgrade-definitions-48123.html 2005-2007 LGTs have a cat in the up-pipe, and people have seen it disintegrate, resulting in turbo failure. 2008-2009 LGTs switched to a catless up-pipe.
