Baddog
So I am now debating if I get an 02-03 WRX midpipe back exhaust and have a shop extend the mid pipe. My question is will it give me ANY performance difference? Or should I just get a new muffler tip? (or is it a whole muffler?) and have that welded on. My friend just bought a 96 Outback sport and it had a 3.5 inch tip on the end but the stock exhaust all the way back and I loved how it sounded. Drift Motion
if you just want the sound, removing the muffler will give you the same result aftermarket muffler just dont muffle the sound as much as far as performance gain, your butt dyno will tell you "yes alot of gain!" realistically not that much on a NA motor
Baddog
Well say I found the mid pipe back for around 80 bucks on CL would it be worth buying that and having it extended? And by performance gain you were refering to the WRX exhaust right or the muffler?
Drift Motion
that decision is up to you but i was talking about a full catback not just a muffler
