Power4
Over the past few weeks I've noticed some sort of weird discoloration on my Legacy's steering wheel. It seems to happen usually when it's humid out, some sort of "residue" collects or grows on the plastic center part of the wheel. I can clean it off and it goes away on it's own after a day or so if I don't. Anyone else seen anything like this and know what it is? Here's a really crappy cell phone pic of it: http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/6856/steeringwheelb.jpg
Kylar
ewwwwwwwwww, wash that ish man! check and make sure you dont have water leaking in anywhere as well. Does the car smell damp or moldy/musty? Do a cabin filter change as well.

Power4
LOL, it does look pretty gross in that photo but as far as I know nothing repulsive has happened to my wheel. There's no water leaking and it doesn't smell like mold either. I have cleaned it off before with car-specific surface cleaners but it's come back. Maybe I will have to test out some heavier duty cleaners.

Malt Beverage
Looks the the plastic is dried out/worn and whenever you clean it it pulls in a little moisture and regains its color. Soon as it dries out again, poof goes the uniform texture. Just a theory.
