Scanyland Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy Brigton and it has manual windows. I was wondering is it possible to install power windows and if so how would i go about doin that.
worknlikeadog Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 yes I want to do this to with at least the front two, I'm going to do it the easiest way and just buy used doors with power windows and run my wires haha
Scanyland Posted July 27, 2010 Author Posted July 27, 2010 thought about doin that, if there is a cheaper method out there, i plan on trying that first
subikid90 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 You could probably find a legacy at the junk yard and gut the motor, wires and door card from the junk car and swap it over then run the wires. The glass is probably the same but I would first check to make sure. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
one bad bg Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 i have 4 door panels, black, 2 fronts are mint, 2 backs are almost mint. previous owner had a dog so theres 2 small K-9 holes on the very top of each of the back door panels. you hardley notice them unless you know their there. no door cards in the panels but i did have power windows so it has all the switches. the only problem is shipping. i have them all packaged up cause i sold them but the guy lived on the other side of the US so shipping was rediculous. but if you live within a few states from ohio it shouldnt be too bad
Scanyland Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 IDK, i live in vermont so its about three states away.
