mmanus88
i have a kenwood setup that uses an fm modulator (no dirrect connection ). for some reaosn (and i've played with the settings) i get a little bit of crackling on some types of music. is this just a phenomena (or downside i should say) to using a modulator? do i need better speakers? bdwhite
I have pricey aftermarket speakers, a sub, and XM through a direct line connection, and I have found similar distortion on the several channels (xm 22, xm47, and a few others are just a tad scratchy. Also, all Cds sound clean and clear (except I-tunes burns which vary). So, I decided that the occasional scrathyness is inherent to several channels. Probably no need for new speakers. -bw

BlkLegGt
Same story on SIRIUS. Sounds like an AM radio reception some times...
