mike had me at 17 on stock DP (or so he said) i dont have a boost gauge or AP yet, x02 cbe and cobb sf intake. i just got my car back today with act street clutch, streetlight flywheel, kartboy sts with poly bushings, erz catless dp and sti up with a fully rebuilt transmission. im getting a tune as soon as they text me back and tell me when. PM me the details for the meet. im down to go. im also plannin on running at epping after i put a couple hundred miles on my clutch and retune. GTstg2 u no my number hit me up with details bro! tony said u were pumped on sunday by the way! congrats on the tune

I was tuned for 19 from Wicked Innovation. First he had it at 21 but he didnt like how the car jerked so he went to 19. That was with a stock turbo and turbo back exhaust and a 73mm intake.

 

Maybe cause I have a vf46 and you both have a vf40??

i wouldn't run stage 2 boost (17 psi or higher) on a stock catted up or dp and stock tmic. The turbo will be working way hard and the tmic will be getting hot. i ran 15 psi on my catted setup. with a turbo back and a amic i would recommend 19psi. over that you are calling for a junk turbo

I am hitting the shop this weekend all weekend and doing some repainting to mine and a shit load of work to my buddies 08 Sti. We should figure out how long it takes to get there and all meet up, drive down in a MA Subaru group, since ctsubie kills us!!

That was a tune before the FMIC. All i had was a kstech intake, x02 turbo back, stock TMIC, and a stock VF46 turbo.

 

I haven't gotten a retune yet with the FMIC. Im waiting to get my stuff installed first before I retune it. I got new bushing, mounts and diff stuff to install. I think that would help with a better tune.

I was going to throw some numbers out but I know they don't mean everything, I would like to be around 350 - 400whp and anywhere from 375-450 for torque. I was thinking of going with an external wastegate/uppipe package but I am sort of weeding away from that.

speaking of CT...im headed there friday to see Mike B for my stage 2 tune. I plan on a TMIC and VF52 upgrade with all the accessories next. The thread for the deal is on here somewhere. ill be down to go btw. willy text me..GTstage2 ill pm my cellie

No FMIC with the tune. I needed one badly cause of the intake. i was sucking too much air for the car and I keep popping codes. so I needed a tune before the FMIC came.

you tuned with your fmic now? without the tune you can get some boost spikes and what not

i would recommend building that motor for that much power at the wheels. and get a 6 speed lol.

What year were the vf52's on? I do want to go with a six speed transmission but haven't really researched them a lot. I like short gears so I would like to find an '04 - '06 Sti transmission, I believe those are the years they made the six speed with shorter gears. I'm hopping to not rebuild the motor! That's just where it would be nice to be, I still have to do some more research. I am pretty set on fmic, injectors/rails, and a vf52 or something similar maybe something with a little more power.

or i can paint my TMIC black and be super double sleepy...cobb turbo heatshield should be here in a day or two. got the bracket back too lmao. thanks for the advice my lord
