wpmarky
yes it will work. Once an AP is installed on a car, it is considered to be "married" to that car. This means it cannot be used on another car until it is "un-married" Before buying it, make sure the AP is unmarried from another car, otherwise it'll be useless to you. SurlyOldManMN
Well lets see... Unlocking an AP is a simple matter of plugging it back in to the car it was originally used for and backing everything off. There are three possible scenarios: 1. The seller doesn't want to lose their tune. The entire purpose of "marrying" the AP to the car is to ensure that only one car ever has a custom tune via that specific AP at any one time. 2. The seller is lazy as hell. On an epic scale. 3. Somehow the seller came in to possession of an AP without also coming in to possession of the car. I'll leave you to speculate on possible routes for this to occur. I say even money on 1 and 3.
S402
so the kid says its married to his car but it was totaled and that cobb said they would unmarry it for him for fifty dollars can anyone confirm if cobb would do this?
fishbone
You need to talk to Cobb. No matter what someone says here, would you hold them responsible if it turns out it is not true? Maybe that serial number was declared stolen. You never know. Call Cobb.
