BAC5.2
I was trying to solve a rattle issue in my sunroof last night when I came across a very odd connector. It's in the headliner, above the drivers side visor. It reminds me of the satellite antenna from my old Nav unit, but that can't be. I snapped this pic through the map-light hole, looking to the drivers side. Any ideas? There isn't any slack in the cable. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii287/bac52/Mobile%20Uploads/32d93d6a.jpg Flip Key Development Thread "Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." - E. proflatlander15
Could it be for the Homelink rearview mirror?
BAC5.2
Maybe, but there is no slack in it. It's about 2" in from the lip of the map-light console. What would the homelink mirror need that connector for? nemo
It's not for the homelink mirror. It's obviously an antenna of some sort -- probably for satellite radio. If you don't vote Trump, out, you're a bigot who hates america.
BAC5.2
I found my old XM antenna, and it's identical in color and everything. I guess the non-satellite radio cars are pre-wired for satellite antennas! SVXdc
Yes, that's what Subaru means when they say a car is "pre-wired for satellite radio" -- it's the leg from behind the HU to above the mirror. You still have to install the antenna itself, but the "pre-wire" saves you from needing to run the cable down the A pillar and behind the dash. BAC5.2
Cool! Thanks everyone! SVX, while I have your attention, what's the link to the connector pinout for the 09 HK radio? I know you posted it once before. I should specify that I'm interested in the nav mute wire, and any other input wires. I want to know if it's possible to integrate the EDM bluetooth kit into the USDM car. BAC5.2
What I wanted to do was see about integrating the OEM bluetooth kit sold for the EDM/JDM Legacy.
