blue dragon
I have steering wheel vibration at 120km/hr and above. Before anyone thinks the tires are out of balance, I had 4 new tires put on today and the vibration is still there. Any ideas what it could be? I checked the wheel bearings, there is no play and no noises(I recently replaced one). Could it be the control arm bushings? Are there any bushings on the driveshaft or axles which could go bad? The car has 120k km on it btw.
ehsnils
A bent or damaged rim would be my guess, but check the gearbox bearings too. Pay attention to bearings related to center diff. Also listen for noises at lower speeds. That may give you a clue too. Check out this thread - it may also provide some insight: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/5mt-transmission-failure-s-128098.html
