General idea is if your going for a lot of power you will want a 3" exhaust over the 2.5 to allow air to flow. This is with bigger builds. You could always get a mid/y and mate it with stock cans. The CX lighting stuff lots of people are doing. They buy the exhaust and sell the cans keeping the mid/y. If you want it to be quieter you could always have an exhaust shop put in a resonator.

You don't NEED to change anything. I ran Grimmspeed PnP mani/crosssover, GS UP, Cobb DP (+AVO TMIC and AEM CAI) w/the stock catback for a while. I still run that setup just with custom magnaflow axlebacks mated to the stock mid/y for little bit of rumble.

 

But yeah, stock CBE is fine if you wanna keep things quiet and aren't going with a big turbo.
