blackinches
can one install an up pipe and not have to retune it? blackinches has a 2006 legacy gt and would like to get rid of the catted up pipe. was waiting on doing the up pipe and downpipe at the same time, but if the retune isn't necessary for the up pipe, maybe that can be done sooner rather than later. lofthouse_gt
You can replace the up-pipe without a tune, but to get the most out of the install you should replace up and down then tune. Just my .02 You have to unbolt the down pipe to even get to a couple up pipe bolts, I did mine at the same time to save time and energy.
blackinches
yeah, definitely plan on doing the down pipe and a tune. sounds like i should just do both up pipe and down pipe at the same time for convenience.
lofthouse_gt
That would be my suggestion for you, make it more convient and you will have a much bigger holy sh^t face after you slam on the gas for the first time post tune!
boost4life
do them at the same time and save some hastle. I never did get a tune after with cobb ots map you dont need to. but a protune would be better.
