not the typical uppipe ?

just received my uppipe from nasioc, 04 STI. When i look in it though i see a mesh like screen, isnt that a cat? Shouldn't 04 be straight thru no cat? what size drain plug can I use to plug the sensor port?

I thought the STI up didn't have a EGT sensor? Also, it should have an accordion style flex, but not a cat.

ok so if thats the case, what should I use to gut it? large screw driver and just shatter out the insides?

Drill bit is what several of my friends have used. Make sure you get everything out of there. Last thing you need is little loose pieces of metal getting sucked into the turbo.

i would ask for a refund if it was labeled as an sti up pipe. thats false advertising.

I'm with this, Sounds like a 02-05 wrx uppie and having gutted one before, it's no easy task, it's time consuming I used a drill bit extension and put in several holes then punched them out i used a die grinder to remove the rest and a flapper wheel to finish it inside to a smooth surface.
