dfalk
I shattered out my back passenger window last night and wondering how hard they are to replace?? Ive never done one but I dont think it should be to hard since theres no frame around the window. Any special tools required or anything?

Ssej
I replaced a window on my old 87 VW, it was a couple hours of work since I had no idea what I was doing. However, after seeing a couple other windows replaced too, I'll stick with paying other people to do it. It's not overly complicated, but I could imagine with newer cars, getting everything to line up and fit perfectly back the way it came out would be a pain in the ass. Aside from normal tools, you'll want to have some sort of adhesive to glue the weather protection sheet back in on the inside of the door.
