Tide Posted April 10, 2010 Share Posted April 10, 2010 In order to fight some of the PM spam, we've changed some of the rules for newly registered people. Everyone else has been moved to a new user group with the old set of rules. New users or people who never post get a more restricted set of rules. You can still send 1 PM to 1 person if you are a new user, as there are plenty of use cases (like selling your car). However even that might still lead to some spam, so we'll see. Can't PM those people which I think means their inbox is maxed out. Which I would guess means their new role/usergroup has a low PM inbox limit. Those people also lost their avatar. Just think the "new user" classification is being applied to people that are not necessarily new. I could be wrong, but it appears that way.
