Dyl911
I just took a close look at my tires this morning. My '08 has Falken Ziex-912s. OK, no big deal there. I imagine Subaru changed from the crappy RE92s at some point. But, wait. My tires are 215/50-17. Stock is supposed to be 215/45-17, right? Am I missing something? I bought the car used. It is possible that the former owner got a flat and changed all four tires, getting the wrong size. Now at least I know why my speedometer reads a couple of mph slow. Scooter
the former owner .... changed all four tires, getting the wrong size. This. No way the Falken's were OEM. If you are thinking about changing them, a lot of us feel that the 225/45-17 size is actually the 'right' size for our car and rims. Lots of tire choices available in this size. Seek first to understand, then to be understood. In other words: SEARCH before you post!
Dyl911
Thanks. The tires have a ton of tread left, otherwise I'd get a new set.
