Jimmy Smarter Posted April 7, 2010 Share Posted April 7, 2010 Hey guys I've got an '07 specb with the aux in jack in the center console, but it's not working; the audio sounds muffled and coming from 1 channel unless you play with it a bit, then it goes out again. Has anyone ever taken the console apart? If its just a loose wire i can probably solder it or something but I want to know what I'm getting into first, I'm assuming someone on here has done it before? Jimmy Smarter Posted April 7, 2010 Author Share Posted April 7, 2010 Nope its an american car and it was imported to canada, i was told the warranty was up on it some time in 2009 (can't remember the month). Jimmy Smarter Posted April 8, 2010 Author Share Posted April 8, 2010 It's definately a loose wire problem since fiddling with it makes the audio jump in and out, and I didnt see any write ups on dismantling the center console. Darkness of Death Posted April 8, 2010 Share Posted April 8, 2010 um...i think the console's storage area has a little cover for the bottom. there would probably be a couple of screws under that. pull the shifter surround off and there is a couple of screws in there. you'd probably have to take off the trim pieces on each side. but i dont know after that. i haven't had to take the whole console off before.
