subiedad51
Just put on some new (to me anyway) Rota Tarmac 2's. They're 17x7.5 with Yokohama Advan S4's. I must say I never realized how bad the RE92's were until I put these on. I drove the car in a driving rainstorm last week and the tires never once felt like they were losing grip. I know they're not dedicated summers but the dry handling in comparsion makes them feel that way. They're also much quieter cruising on the highway. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. Dyl911
They are bad in the rain, terrible in the snow, and meh in the dry. Oh, and a new RE92 is over $200!!!

subiedad51
I think they were created to give you the sensation of driving on ice - an excellent tire for all those occasions where you're looking a ton of road noise and zero traction
rs6er
I was told that the only reason Subaru uses them is because they get 1 extra mpg out of them.
mbcracken
What size of tire did you go with on those rims?
subiedad51
I've got 225/45/17 - the rims are 17x7.5. I was looking at 18's but honestly I do alot of highway driving and I think the 17's are just better for eveyday driving.
mbcracken
Funny how we are posting in the same two active posts... Our subie sees a lot highway time as well but I also drive the occasional fire/dirt road. I am looking for a rim strong enough to handle the occasional rough road. I also have a set of Eagle GT 225/45/17 tires ready for some new rims. Cheers, Mike
subiedad51
Legacygt stalking. I love the tires so far. Obviously not as much grip as a summer but they are quiet for cruising, handled the rain great and seem to have plenty of dry grip.
