BravoZero Posted March 27, 2010 Share Posted March 27, 2010 I am interested in buying an 05 GT auto instrument cluster off of someone but I have an 06 2.5i auto. I love the red ring and the bright white display. Has anyone done this swap? If I were to buy it, it should be simple plug and play right? Darkness of Death Posted March 27, 2010 Share Posted March 27, 2010 i think i read that the keys are specificly programmed to a gauge cluster. meaning - you probably wont be able to start the car . if that's the case. i'm not sure if you can reprogram it. I contacted three different Subaru dealerships and spoke with someone in each service department and they said it's almost impossible to make it work SIMPLY because of the programming.
