Corny357
(Yes, I searched) I'm looking at getting the 5Zigen ProRacer 520s. The 18x7.5s in those weigh 23lbs a piece. Need to know how much the stock 09 Spec B wheels weigh. Thanks Brandon

dmanaenk
^ are you sure? I thought 06-07 spec wheels were about that and 08-09 were good 4-5 lbs heavier.
Scooby Fan
Take one off your car and weigh it....subtract the weight of the tire, which you can get from Tire Rack and there you have it.
Darkness of Death
according to that link. the 06-07 rims are 18 pounds. which is really good. whether that's true or not is a different story
m sprank
Ok. Going outside to weigh a OEM 18" wheel off my SpecB. Had to get it out of the rafters. Will post results in a few. I still remember them being 22lbs before I stored them. But I could be mistaken.

m sprank
My memory failed me (again). They say it is the second thing to go, I can't remember the first thing anymore... Official weight of a 2008 SpecB 18" wheel is 25lbs 8oz. 2008 Non SpecB whees are 22lbs. The ones on my 5EAT (17) were 22lbs.
Darkness of Death
that's a heavy wheel ~
m sprank
Yup. I replaced them with RPF-1. 18" weighs only 17lbs. I saved 8+lbs per corner. Thats a lot of unsprung weight leaving the car.
Darkness of Death
i better check the weight of my rims as soon as i can. i was looking to get lighter wheels and decided not to partially because of the that link in the second post.
m sprank
Forgot, I had 2 weights still in the wheel. Its 25 lbs 8 oz without the weights. This is a 2008 SpecB wheel. My 2008 5EAT wheels weighed 22lbs. I doubt a 2006/7 SpecB has 18lbs wheels.
dmanaenk
^ thanks. A tad less than I thought. If I score some 06-07 spec.b wheels I'll weigh them too.
