tylology
Right now I have a 1999 legacy outback wagon, and I wanted to start building it up. However, my dad says I should wait until he finds me a GT of a newer year (2001-2003 most likely). The problem is, I don't know how long it will take him to find a GT. Is the outback even worth modding? CIA, brakes, suspension etc. I want the Outback to look like a GT for the most part, and perform just as well. Any input? The outback has 197,000 miles on it btw. hahaha
shutterbc
Hmm... You want to focus on the OB to look like a GT, or perform like a GT? Visually, you have higher clearance and extra body panel cladding. Performance wise... well actually for the 3rd gen I think they had comparable if not same engine specs. Suspension is likely the biggest difference here.
tylology
Probably one of the first things I would do to the Outback is get rid of that clearance and lower it to a more suitable stance. The whole thing about me wanting to mod the wagon is that it will be a sleeper, and I like that thought. The sedan is an attractive car however, and I am caught in quite a decision dilemma.
